When you Google ‘How To Make Your Hair Grow’, you’re greeted with over 14.7 million results. That’s a lot. And I get it. Although I constantly flirt with the idea of chopping my hair into a bob, most of the time, I want all of Esmerelda’s locks, each and every single strand of them.
Most hair masks you find on supermarket shelves are full of nonsense. This recipe is super easy to make – you just need the right ingredients. I’d really recommend investing in argan oil and castor oil. Argan is great for homemade body butters like this, and castor oil is great for lengthening lashes and eyebrows (if you over plucked them in the ’90s). Just smooth over a small amount using a cotton bud at night before bed.
You can use 10 drops of your essential oil of choice, but I’ve gone for rosemary as it stimulates the blood on the scalp surface – promoting growth and peppermint because it’s super nourishing and I love that tingly feeling (OI OI, THAT’S WHAT SHE SAID).
Recipe:
2 tbsp melted coconut oil
1 tsp argan oil
1 tsp castor oil
6 drops of rosemary essential oil
4 drops of peppermint essential
Method:
1. Mix the ingredients together and then place the amount desired over your hair.
2. Tie back your hair and keep the mask on for a minimum of half an hour – or overnight.
3. Rinse off the mask in the shower and follow with shampoo – you won’t need conditioner.
4. Flip those luscious locks kweeeeeen
